  • Number of Beds : 17
  • Unit staffing description- 3:1, 2:1 patient assignment. - Core staffing for 7 RNs, 2 PCAs, and one ASA (unit secretary)
  • Equipment: Spacelab bedside cardiac monitoring, arterial lines, EVD, non-invasive ventilatory support (bipap, cpap, hfnc), EKOS.
  • Documentation system: EPIC
  • Scheduling requirements: every other weekend, 3 UTs allowed per contract, weekend shift make up policyProcedures performed on unit: -
    • EVD, NT suctioning, wound vacs, JP drains, hemovacs, sedative drips, vasoactives, EKOS machines, vascular sheaths - -Management of patient on neosynephrine, levophed, dopamine, precedex, heparin, and other medications in these classes. - -Procedures performed on unit: - EVD, NT suctioning, wound vacs, JP drains, hemovacs, sedative drips, vasoactives, EKOS machines, vascular sheaths. - - -Requirements:2YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty -2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting -2YRS+ Must Have Level 1 Trauma Exp in Adult & PEDSFloating policy: to care areas with like-populations. - AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling staffing needs. -ACTIVE BLS (AHA)ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)NIHSS (Preferred) (HWS Provides)Requested Skill Set: -
